February 25th 2020 Event: The future is bright – the future is now; accountancy in the 21st Century
/On February 25th this year, Anlo will be holding a one-day event to demonstrate and discuss the future of accountancy.
We have opened this event now up for everyone and would like to invite business owners that are wondering how cloud accounting works and how it all works together.
We will be starting the day with a networking session - we ask that you register with us as places will be limited and we will only be inviting registered companies and businesses to attend. Coffee and snacks will be provided along with the chance to get to know your fellow attendees and maybe do some business!
Following this we will be offering training/information sessions on a number of Cloud Accounting topics, see below for specifics of this event.
There is a charge of R100 (R25 for Anlo clients) for the session and it will be from 7:30-10:30am. These prices are exclusive of VAT.
The power of online accountancy packages these days is quite astounding, saving you time and money whilst giving you a level of financial oversight which has simply not been possible before. All of this technology is available now – Anlo uses it extensively both internally and with many clients here in South Africa and in the UK - but the rate of growth and the increases in functionality in the field are almost exponential!

Programme:
Welcome and breakfast networking session: An opportunity to meet our team and do some networking with other businesses and individuals over coffee and snacks. 07:30 - 09:00
Cloud Accounting: (09:00 onwards) Breakfast over, we’ll move onto an overview, explanation and demonstrations of what ‘Cloud accountancy’ actually means and how it can dramatically improve your control of your business finances.
We will then move onto discussing and demonstrating how you can integrate third-party software into Cloud accounting packages to substantially increase their functionality.
Anlo are Xero Partners and this is the package we use day in and day out, although we are experienced in many others. We will explain the benefits to businesses large and small and show how the basic functionality (which is impressive on its own) can be further enhanced by the addition of packages such as ReceiptBank, Hubdocs, Unleashed and many more.
We will explain and demonstrate how you can put together an integrated package that will allow you to dramatically reduce the time you spend on accounts and bookkeeping whilst allowing you unrivalled oversight of your finances on an almost minute by minute basis. Don’t worry – it can sound a bit scary, but it really isn’t!
Changes in the Tax Act taking effect in 2020
We wouldn’t be proper accountants if we didn’t touch on changes that you can expect to see in the coming months! We’ll explain the changes in the Tax Act, especially where they affect people working abroad, specifically Section 10(1)(o). We have covered this before in our blog but here you will get the chance to ask questions and discuss the changes in more depth with our knowledgeable colleagues.
An introduction to Digital Marketing
Digital marketing doesn’t start and stop with a Facebook page! Christopher Watkins from HashTag ME will explain how to approach your digital marketing strategy and how to make a success of it.
Networking and open Q&A session
Finally, we will give everyone the opportunity to do some further networking with their fellow attendees and to discuss any accounting issues or questions you may have with our staff.
This event will be an excellent opportunity to gain an oversight of the changes happening now in accountancy and how they could change the way you run your business, making you more efficient, making compliance easier and less time-consuming and dramatically improve your daily control of your finances.
