A day in the life of... Simone

First thing in the morning I make a cup coffee for Esmerelda and me. I then check my emails and make a to-do list. 

I do our client’s payroll every month. The payroll duties include sending out reminders to the client to send us their payroll details. After the processing is done, I send the reports out for approval, and once they are approved, I send out the pay slips and prepare the EMP201(the EMP201 includes, PAYE, SDL, etc.) and load the payment, so the client can release the payment in time. If it is not paid in time the client gets penalties, which we try to avoid!

When the phone rings, I’m there to answer it and when clients need to be called back, I do this too.

I’m assisting Annja and Esmerelda with sending out invoices and retainer increases. If a client has any queries, I try to resolve the issue as soon as possible.

I am often calling SARS to follow up on objections, refunds, etc. 

I also deal with CIPC matters, this includes submitting annual returns, registering new companies, updating company details such as addresses and directors’ changes.
